Takenolab is a learning center for information and communications technology (ICT) serving refugees and the host community in and around Dzaleka Refugee Camp in Malawi, Africa. Founded and operated by the dynamic Remy Gakwaya, a tech guru, musician, singer, composer and camp resident who is the driving force behind technical development and community tech education in Dzaleka. Takenolab is focused on computer programming and entrepreneurship and has been involved in numerous projets, including 3D printing of masks and PPE (personal protective equipment), development of an online registry for community based organizations (CBOs) in the camp, teaching website development, mobile app development and much more.

In addition to the Takenolab, Remy hosts a live YouTube broadcast series entitled Elevate Discussion featuring guests from all over the world who share their thoughts about education, art and inspiration.
